Statewide Fringe Benefits

In 2000 Entergy Corporation, Arkansas largest public utility, developed a Fringe Benefit Survey that could be administered and utilized by communities.

In the survey fringe benefits were explained as optional incentives, payments, or contributions for employees. Respondents were instructed to disregard required payments and contributions such as workers’ compensation insurance, unemployment contributions, and overtime pay.

The fringe benefits component of the questionnaire was designed to obtain data regarding the availability of various fringe benefits offered by employers (i.e., insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation, etc.).
